Talking Point #01 - Questioning Safety: Why does that make someone "Anti-Vaccine"?
Why is it that the moment one questions the safety of vaccination they are condemned to being opposed to vaccines, being gaslit, and social media censorship?
October is Vaccine Injury Awareness Month, and with Alexis Lorenze’s story of vaccine injury going viral on social media, it’s time to update the VaxSafety.org website, this Substack, and my new Instagram! I’ll be posting 60 talking points that break this conversation into easily digestible parts, making it accessible for everyone, even kids. So, let’s put on our black ribbons for awareness and spread the word. Feel free to share widely, and check back anytime for updates as I’ll be adding more information as needed
.
Why does questioning vaccine safety make you seem anti-vaccine? We don’t see the same reaction when it comes to aspirin, statins, or SSRIs!
“If I question the safety of antibiotics, would I then be labeled ‘Anti-antibiotic’?
Making a mockery of your opponents’ ideas makes it easier to contradict them. But, today more than ever in history, we need to have a healthy debate on vaccination. Clearly, we all want safe and healthy children.
It would seem that anything that affects the safety of these injectables is a problem and needs to be seriously looked at.
Although generally well-tolerated, vaccines may occasionally cause disabling health problems in susceptible individuals. There is a subset of children that we are absolutely guilty of an injustice toward, who have suffered undesirable side effects due to mandatory vaccination and just plain ignorance.”

When I first began my research, I listened to a lecture by Del Bigtree that featured an eye-opening interview between Sharyl Attkisson and Dr. Bernadine Healy, former director of the NIH. In the interview, Dr. Healy discusses a vulnerable group and addresses how the government rushed to conclusions about autism without proper testing. You can watch it here:
I like how at the end Bernadine admits to Sheryl that the government doesn’t want to scare the public.

This raises an important question: when does censorship go too far? Facebook began heavily censoring free speech in 2018 by removing and downthrottling posts related to vaccines. Similarly, Amazon faced backlash for removing books about vaccines, which some critics likened to a public book burning. This wave of censorship followed a letter from Adam Schiff to Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos, addressing concerns about anti-vaccine misinformation. Is this an honest approach to free speech?
It seems that, in 2024, we may have turned a corner. Mark Zuckerberg recently admitted that he was pressured into censorship by the White House. While many suspected this all along, his acknowledgment is significant. So, I ask: what will change, Mark?
“Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says senior Biden administration officials pressured Facebook to “censor” some COVID-19 content during the pandemic and vowed that the social media giant would push back if it faced such demands again.” - PBS News
I call bullshit. In the few days I spent writing this article, I posted a link on my Facebook feed that was immediately taken down. It’s only the second post I've ever had removed, the first being about vitamins. This is baffling. What would Mark say about that? Can you find anything in this post that needs to be censored other than the truth?
How do we navigate the existing censors and fact-checkers? When will the current censorship end? Where do these fact-checkers come from, and what are their credentials? Will our censored posts ever be reinstated? Will we be able to ask the questions raised in this series without facing bans, censorship, or down-throttling on Facebook?
